› HOW DOES THE VENTA HUMIDIFY?

The Venta operates by the process of cold evaporation; you will not see any white residue, vapors or mists. The disk stack rotates in the water creating a surface area of over 4,2m² (LW 44). When dry air meets the surface area of the disk stack, the water evaporates and is sent out into the room. By using the cold evaporation process, any excess humidity can be virtually ruled out.

› CAN PARTICLES OR EVEN HYGIENE ADDITIVE COMPOUNDS ENTER THE ROOM AIR WITH THE HUMIDIFIER SYSTEM?

The Humidifier uses the well-known, highly effective principle of cold evaporation. Cold evaporation technology prevents particles or aerosols from being released into room air. As proof of this statement, the TÜV Nord was requested to carry out tests. The TÜV Nord confirmed in these tests that no aerosols capable of entering the lungs were released into the room air, regardless of whether or not the Hygiene Additive was used.

› WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE FOR THE VENTA HUMIDIFIERS?

If possible the Venta Humidifiers should be placed in the center of the room, or along a wall away from windows and a heat source. When using your Venta Humidifier for multiple rooms (larger model Venta Humidifiers) it should be placed centrally between rooms. Allow 0,5m above and on either side of the Venta Humidiifer to allow air circulation.

› WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO RUN THE VENTA HUMIDIFIER?

That depends on individual needs. Because the Venta humidifier is very energy efficient, operating costs are very low even when used all the time. For consistent results, it should be run continuously.

› WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WATER EVAPORATES AND THE APPLIANCE CONTINUES TO RUN?

First and foremost, the Venta Humidiifer is only humidifying and purifying when water is in the appliance. However, the Venta Hygiene Additive holds dirt and dust particles down on the bottom of the lower housing. LW 14/24/44: The motor will continue to run without water and will not be damaged. The LW 15/ 25/45 will shut off automatically as soon as there is insufficient water in the lower housing.

› WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE VENTA HUMIDIFIER HAS NOT BEEN RUN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?

Simply give the appliance a general cleaning with the Venta Cleaner before using the Venta humidifier again. Tip: Use of the Venta Cleaner is recommended before storing the appliance for an extended period of time to remove any mineral deposits that can harden over time.

› WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN THE VENTA HUMIDIFIER?

Every 10-14 days the lower housing should be rinsed/wiped out with a damp sponge. The disk stack should be rinsed off and/or brushed off with a soft brush or sponge. Periodically, the Venta Cleaner can be used for a thorough cleaning. At all times care should be taken to keep water away from the motor. Please see user manual for more information.

› IS IT NECESSARY TO USE THE VENTA HYGIENE ADDITIVE?

The Hygiene Additive helps prevent mineral deposits from becoming hard and difficult to remove – any sediment can be easily rinsed out. In addition, the water treatment additive helps improve the efficiency of the Venta humidifier by allowing the water to sheet on the disk stack instead of “beading” up – allowing maximum use of every square inch of the disk stack. The Hygiene Additive also helps prevent odors and improves the performance of the Venta Humidiifer.

› WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL RUNTIME OF THE HUMIDIFIER?

That depends on the individual requirements. The longer the device is operated, the more extensive the humidification and cleaning effect. It is not possible to create too much humidification.

› WHAT IS THE CORRECT WAY TO VENTILATE THE ROOM?

We recommend to briefly air out the room several times a day. (Intermittent ventilation – windows that are always open significantly reduce the cleaning and humidification effect.)

› CAN THE DEVICE RUN FOR 24 HOURS A DAY?

Yes, the device is suitable for continuous operation. Extremely low power consumption: less than 20 watt at the highest level.

› WHAT HAPPENS IF THE DEVICE DOESN‘T HAVE ENOUGH WATER?

As soon as there is not enough water in the water tray, the LW60T switches off automatically. If the yellow “Fill Tank” indicator appears in the display, this means that there is still enough water in the water tray (water tank is empty). Air humidification is still taking place. If the “Fill Tank” indicator glows red, no humidification/ purification is taking place, because there is not enough water in the water basin.

› WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DEVICE IS NOT USED FOR A LONGER TIME?

The device can be put back in operation at any time, without a problem. In order to prevent remaining lime-scale sediment in the tray and in the tank from hardening, it should be emptied and cleaned before a longer period of not using the device

› HOW CAN I CLEAN THE HUMIDIFIER?

We recommend emptying the remaining water from the water tank and the water basin every 10-14 days. Please clean the water basin, the water tank and the disc stack under flowing water. The device features an automatic intensive cleaning program (duration approx. 4h). For the cleaning process, please use a bottle (250ml) of Venta Cleaner. The indication regarding the execution of the intensive cleaning program appears in red on the display: “Cleaning”. Please follow the directions on the display. The cleaning process can be carried out via the “Cleaning” button at any time.

› HOW DOES THE AIR HUMIDITY DISPLAY WORK?

The Humidifier is equipped with an integrated air humidity sensor. The current relative humidity from 20% to 99% is shown in the middle of the display. The accuracy of the air humidity display is approx. ±3%. It takes a little while for the humidity in the room to be measured.

› HOW CAN I CHECK IF THE AIR HUMIDITY SENSOR IS WORKING?

Use a hair dryer to blow air into the humidity sensor. After a while, the humidity in the display will drop. This shows that the humidity sensor is working properly

› HOW CAN I SET THE DESIRED AIR HUMIDITY?

The desired air humidity can be set in the “Humidity” field in 5% increments from 30 - 70%. Once the set air humidity is reached, the disc stack no longer turns and no humidification and purification takes place.

› WHAT DOES THE GREEN CIRCLE IN THE COMFORT ZONE DISPLAY MEAN?

If the white circle is inside the green circle, then the relative humidity and room temperature are in the feel-good range.

› DOES THE DEVICE HAVE AN AUTOMATIC MODE?

Yes, the so-called “Auto Mode”. In this mode, the device automatically regulates the ventilator levels, so that the optimal humidity of 50% is reached. Once the optimal humidity is reached, the device automatically reduces the ventilator level.

› CAN THE DEVICE BE SWITCHED OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER A SPECIFIED TIME?

The device has a “Timer” function to set a specified time of 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 or 9 hours. After the set number of hours have elapsed, the device switches off automatically.

› DOES THE DEVICE HAVE A NIGHT MODE?

The LW60T has a night mode, the so-called “Sleep Mode”. When this is activated, the device reduces the ventilator level to 1 and dims the display. A manual change in the strength of the ventilator levels is possible in night mode at any time.

› DOES THE DEVICE EMIT RADIATION?

The device meets all standards with regard to electromagnetic fields (EMF). It is urgently recommended to operate the device according to the Venta operating instructions. These are included in the scope of delivery of the device or can be downloaded from the Venta website at any time.

› THE HUMIDIFIER ISN‘T WORKING. WHAT CAN I DO?

Make sure that the humidifier is connected to the power supply and the coupling of the power supply is inserted into the device. The “Fill Tank” display to fill the water tank is glowing red. Make sure that the water tray is inserted properly and there is enough water in the water tray. The device is working, but the buttons are not reacting. Check if the “Child Lock” function is activated. To deactivate the keypad, hold ON pressed for 3 seconds. › WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF THE VENTA HYGIENE DISC?

The formation of hard lime deposits is prevented through the use of the Hygiene Disc. The water softener granules in the Hygiene Disc are impregnated with silver ions against microbes. In combination, this ensures hygienic operation.

› WHY SHOULD NO OTHER ADDITIVES BE USED?

Only the additives offered for the LW60T by the company VentaLuftwäscher GmbH were specially coordinated for the high-grade Venta plastics. Other additives, such as cleaning products from chemists or pharmacies can have a corrosive effect on the plastic. Venta-Luftwäscher GmbH assumes no liability for this. Do not add fragrance oil to the water. This may impair the function of the Hygiene Disc.
